Couldn't let it WAIT!!!

So, I know I just posted a couple nights ago, and it's not time for my weekly but I couldn't let this wait!!! It's just TOO FUN!!!
I found a new website, I guess it's been posted in the magazine's but not the one's I read. I don't ever find myself picking UP Seventeen Magazine (sorry!) ha ha ha

Anyway, I was cruising the web looking for my 2nd favorite obsession...CHEAP JEWELRY! I came across this website and it's NOT for the faint of heart when it comes to fashion accessories. There were really only 2 or 3 pieces that I found I liked, but when you find a website that sells earrings that look like rubic's cubes you don't let it go unnoticed!!! I'd like to WARN YOU UP FRONT if you have a younger daughter looking over your shoulder...this may not be age appropriate. It's nothing vulgar in an "adult" way...but there are somethings on the site I wouldn't want my 9 year old daughter to see (if I had one.)
You've been WARNED!!!

It's fun, it takes ya back (did me) and it's not something that everyone can pull OFF. There are also very few pieces that I think ANYONE can pull off...but I'm sure I'll roll the dice and order one. My fav is the lipstick necklace...check it out, it's super cute.
For those of you that are into the tattoo "trend" they have a FABULOUS COLLECTION of very ED Hardy type styles for less then $15.00 a pair.

You'lll get a chuckle out of this website...I know I did.

The deals to be had...and so DESIGNER INSPIRED!!!

Hi~I know I'm late this week, sorry!! Just didn't have it in me last night. Note I'm still in my sweatshirt at the bottom! LOL
So ladies, I went to Target this week! I haven't been in awhile and WOWZA!!!
Hubby and I were on our way to see District 9 (two thumbs down) so I didn't have time to check out all I wanted and report as much as I planned, but I was impressed with what I did get a look at.
The first place I went to was handbags (go figure) because there's been sooo much talk lately of Coach "like" handbags at Target. If you've only visited their website and not the store itself then you haven't even seen the 1/2 of it!!! Remember the Coach 08' Garcia leather legacy line??? Well, now it's available at Target!!! I don't mean this literally, but they are DARN CLOSE! If you're looking for a winter bag without investing more then $25 bucks these are a total grand slam! I'm not into copying, but I feel that all designers do get their "inspiration" from other designers, and these bags are proof of that. They have the same looks and styles as the 08' Coach legacy for a fraction of the cost. They even have brass turnlocks on the front!!! They were $24.99 for the smaller satchel and $29.99 for the larger tote. I'm 99% sure that they are in this weeks Sunday Ad for $20 bucks each. The larger of the two has a more Coach like look, but they are both fabulous! I recommend checking them out.

Then OFCOURSE I had to zoom on over to the jewelry because I was afterall there to purchase the Hollywood Intuition leather cuff's that come in a mix of colors and are $9.99 for 6 of them. The reviews on www.target.com are GREAT!! I even read that they are adjustable as there are two different places to latch them. Sadly I couldn't locate them, and didn't have time to ask. Hubby was counting the minutes while waiting in the car. I did however get to check out the new charms! Has anyone else noticed these? They had their own little display and were not mixed in with other jewelry. Wanna talk Juicy Couture inspired??? These charms are IT!! They had everything from handbags, shoes, pieces of cake, initials, animals...you name it, they had it! Just like Juicy (but not.) The one's I looked at were the more intricate and they were a whooping $5.99. I'd snag these up QUICK! I have a feeling they'll go fast and won't be replenished. I'm gonna snag a few up this weekend. I love the Juicy charms, but my pocketbook HATES them!!

Now onto what I went to Target for, which was JEANS!! I'm picky about my jeans and hate NOTHING more then to try on pair after pair and find nothing that suits me. UGH!! I had this probelm a little, but it was due to the fact that I'm in between sizes. I wanted to take 11's & 13's into the dressing room, but being laid off wouldn't allow that to happen!!! UGH! What's almost as bad as the loss of income from being laid off??? The weight GAIN!!!
Anyway, I've gotta say the jeans that were on sale for $15.00 & $20.00 were OK to good at best. I was geared up for cheap, not hunting my "favorite" pair and did manage to walk out with my 1st pair of skinny jeans. $16.05 out the door!!!
I don't know how I feel about the skinny jeans (seeing as I'm not skinny) but here's what I've come up with. If I find a pair of skinny jeans that I love for a good price, why NOT snag them up? If I like the fit everywhere else I can always go old school Jr. high style and cut a small 2in. slit on the inside of the ankle to (un)skinny them!! The boot cut for $15.00 was a GREAT cut in my opinion but they didn't have my size! Still a BARGAIN for $16.05!!!

So, had I had the time to shop, shop, shop like I wanted to here's what I COULD have had!

Mossimo jeans $15.00
2 (Juicy like) charms for my bracelet $12.00
Coach (like) legacy bag $24.99
Leather studded bracelets $9.99

So, if I already had a pair of good fall ankle boots (which I do) and gave a $20.00 allowance for a top (which could easily be done) I'd have walked out with an entire outfit for fall. This would even INCLUDE a couple of accessories for $61.96 pre-tax. I'm sure most of the gal's that read my blog could skip the bag and get shoes instead for the same price!!! I would have also been entitled to a $5.00 price adjustment for my bag this week!!

I don't know about you gal's, but Target is gonna make my Top 5 for Fall!!!

I'll keep you posted if I get my bracelets, and how the skinny jeans work for a gal who wears a size 13 or 15 juniors!!!

Next week we're addressing handbags that are RIGHT under your nose if you shop the outlet centers!!! NO, I'm not talking Coach!!!

Addressing feedback, that I was 100% happy to receive!!!

I was SO happy to actually GET feedback. It was given to me via PM thru email, and I'll be happy to tell you all the summary of the feedback. The member made a very kind suggestion to me that I choose a different photo as "the girl behind the blog" because I am asking people to read my posts about fashion and post a picture of myself looking very anti fashion. I agree with her 100% and appreciate the fact that she PM'd me and didn't post it here, incase it would have embarrassed me. To that poster...I thank you!!!

I do want to address that exact sweatshirt. It may not be photographed correctly for my blog...that I agree with. It is however a representation of this blog. The sweatshirt in question is a very classy (as classy as a sweatshirt get's) CK sweatshirt that I picked up in new condition at Goodwill for $3.00. Just the type of thing us frugal "fashionista's" live for!!! It's my FAVORITE sweatshirt! I do agree with the fact that another picture would be more appropriate for the purpose, and I will change it soon. In all reality I was just using what I had handy to start my blog, thinking that no one would even read it. They are, and I'm so excited and greatfull!!!

So, to sum up this post, thanks for the feedback, it was kind and not mean spirited. The mssg also included the fact that the reader DID LIKE my blog and will continue to follow it. I welcome all the suggestions that anyone has for me. I promise to post a better picture with a great outfit that will convince everyone that I kinda know what I'm talking about, and the outfit (bag & accessories excluded) will retail for less then $75.00 including shoes. Keep in mind that this is based on what I can pull off for style in the midwest. I don't have access or funds for Rodeo Drive! LOL :o)

My regular weekly post will come tomorrow evening as always. Maybe as I get more readers I'll try and post 2 times a week. I have some great things to address!

Thank's for the support!! You don't know how much it means to me!!!

My Fall MUST HAVE report:

Here are a few things I'm considering to be my "must have's" for fall. The 1st is a great deal and I'll be making my way to Target this week. ALL of their Mossimo ladies denim are on SALE for $15 and $20 bucks. They have some really great styles too. Old Navy used to be my "go to" for jeans, but at this price in Target's Sunday add I can't help but stock up!!!

I'm also going to be ordering quite a few pieces of jewelry from Urbanoutfitters.com. They've got some GREAT leather pieces. I've got my eye's on a couple of studded cuff bracelets and a SUPER CUTE pair of large chain and leather tassel earrings!!! I HIGHLY SUGGEST checking them out. They also have a FABULOUS grommet barrett hat that's available in black and magenta, and I also believe a slate grey. I'll be making sure that's delivered to my door no later then October 1st.

My favorite site for shoes right now is www.urbanog.com. They're a great site for fashion shoes. The type you will maybe only wear for one season, and maybe only for dress and don't want to invest too much $$$ in them. The GREAT thing is that you can have 2-3 pair shipped for the price of one. Their site is also super user friendly in that you can serach by size, color and style. (Example: size 8 pink platforms.)
***ALSO KEEP IN MIND THAT THE CHEAPER CLEARANCE SHOES WILL BE TOWARDS THE BACK!!*** They aren't POOR quality, but they are budget friendly!!!

This week I'm going to be surfing for fashion scarves. I've already found a few at www.urbanoutfitters.com but have alot of confidence that I can find better deals to post for you!!!

Here's my TIP of the week.

When you find that perfect FIT in denim, but it dosen't have the beat down boyfriend look you want, you can do it yourself!!!
I have found that using hubby's Dremel tool with a sanding attatchment does the trick. You can not only decide where YOU want the wear, but using the Dremmel tool gives you great control!!! I also love to either spray my jeans with bleach or just dip my fingers in it and "splatter" it. Doing both will give you a great worn look without paying $100 for a pair of jeans. Just make sure you soak the jeans in cold water to stop the bleach from eating thru the denim further then you want it to. Also wash them by themselves the first time around, after that you're good to go!!!

If I find any other great deals before next Monday I'll make sure and post them!!
Until then, I'll be waiting to hear YOURS!!!

Welcome, here's my 1st post!!!

So, I'm flipping thru Lucky magazine today, and I'm seeing alot of bags, clothes and accessories that I love. I also know that this is a double edge sword...and here's WHY.

I know that the things I like ALOT I either don't have local access to or I can't AFFORD.

I can't pull off half the fashions in my small town because so few would appreciate it, or "get it." (I already get strange looks sometimes with what I wear.)

If I can afford it, and I have access to it, then 9 times out of 10 it dosen't come in my size.

Hmmmmmm.......I wonder to myself, how many women are in my EXACT same shoes???

ALOT!!!

So, I've decided that maybe we can ALL come together to share our hints, tricks and finds to help eachother out. I know I'm not alone and this is where all of YOU come in.

So, I'll leave the thoughts at this, and see what you all have to say about it!!

Are you fashion hungry...with no means to feed the hunger? Do you have to get creative to feed the hunger??

Tell me about yourself, and let's get this blog rolling!!!
